Dette vil ogs\u00e5 g\u00e5 fram her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft3\">Dokumentasjon av Faun har p\u00e5g\u00e5tt over mange \u00e5r. Da Hardanger Fart\u00f8yvernsenter overtok fart\u00f8yet fra Trond Eide fikk vi ogs\u00e5 med et dokumentasjonsmateriale. Ved at tidligere eiere av Faun, Bergenshalv\u00f8ens Kommunale Kraftselskap (BKK), velvillig st\u00f8ttet prosjektet med kr 50.000 fikk vi en anledning til \u00e5 systematisere og supplere dette materialet. Gjennom st\u00f8tte fra Riksantikvaren (100.000) og Stiftelsen UNI-fondet (500.000) ble det anledning til \u00e5 starte arbeidet med istandsetting av fart\u00f8yet i \u00e5r. Vi vil benytte anledningen til \u00e5 takke for st\u00f8tten!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft3\">\u00c5smund Kristiansen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">5<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_6\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft5\">Sammendrag<\/p>\n<p class=\"p15 ft3\">Som et utgangspunkt for restaureringen av \u00abFaun\u00bb har en f\u00f8rst og fremst skroget med de spor som finnes i det, inventar, innredning og utstyr. En har ogs\u00e5 en \u00abSpesification &amp; Kontrakt\u00bb som ble skrevet i forbindelse med kontraheringen i 1915. Denne er riktignok ikke aprobert av kj\u00f8per, men den gir allikevel en god beskrivelse av b\u00e5ten og dens utrustning. Da Trond Eide var eier gjorde han endel dokumentasjonsarbeid. Han intervjuet Eilert Lund som eide b\u00e5ten fra -46 til -55, og han skaffet til veie endel av utstyret som var tatt ut da b\u00e5ten var i BKK\u2019s eie. Eide intervjuet ogs\u00e5 Ingolf Solheim som var skipper p\u00e5 \u00abFaun\u00bb under BKK-perioden, og dette gav et bilde av fart\u00f8yets nyere historie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p16 ft20\">Det har s\u00e5 langt v\u00e6rt vanskelig \u00e5 skaffe til veie eldre fotomateriale. I l\u00f8pet av 2000 ble det bevilget penger til \u00e5 starte restaureringsarbeidet med Faun, og dette ble p\u00e5begynt i oktober. Det ble f\u00f8rst laget en linjetegning p\u00e5 bakgrunn av den oppm\u00e5ling som var foretatt \u00e5ret f\u00f8r. Denne tegningen ble brukt som underlag for f\u00f8lgende tegningssett: konstruksjon, innredning, arrangement og profil\/rigg. Det ble og gjort en deplasementsberegning, der langskips oppdriftsenter ble definert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p26 ft3\">Under arbeidet med tegningene, og den detaljoppm\u00e5lingen som da ble foretatt, dukket det opp en del nye opplysninger som korrigerte en del av de antagelsene en tidligere hadde hatt. August Moldestad ved Damsgaards Baatbyggeri og Motorforretning for skipsreder Einar Michelsen, Bergen. B\u00e5ten fikk byggenr 38.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p42 ft3\">B\u00e5ten ble i 1923 eller -24 kj\u00f8pt av skipsreder Jacob Kj\u00f8de, ogs\u00e5 Bergen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p43 ft3\">I 1946 ble den kj\u00f8pt av Eilert Lund, Bergen, og han skiftet maskin, en Red Wing 6-syl. 100\/140 hk, med Hesselmann-system, og fikk bygget et styrehus p\u00e5 b\u00e5ten, samt at han satte inn et par ekstra tanker. Lund hadde planer om \u00e5 bruke Faun som fluktfart\u00f8y i tilfelle invasjon fra \u00f8st.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p44 ft20\">I 1955 ble det ny eier, denne gangen Bergenshalv\u00f8ens Kommunale Kraftselskap, BKK, som benyttet b\u00e5ten som skyssb\u00e5t. BKK satte senere inn en brukt motor av typen Meadows, serie 630, 96 hk ved 1350 o\/m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p45 ft3\">I 1976 ble b\u00e5ten kj\u00f8pt av Bjarne Hope med flere i Oslo. \u00abFaun\u00bb var da i bruk som lystb\u00e5t frem til 1982. Den hadde etter hvert blitt i s\u00e5pass d\u00e5rlig stand at Hope tok kontakt med Fredrik Denneche, som var Milj\u00f8verndepartementets fart\u00f8yvernkonsulent. Denneche fikk kontakt med Trond Eide, som kj\u00f8pte b\u00e5ten for kroner 1,- mot at han p\u00e5tok seg \u00e5 restaurere \u00abFaun\u00bb etter antikvariske retningslinjer. Dette viste seg \u00e5 bli en oppgave som var for stor for en manns fritid, og 1993 overdro han \u00abFaun\u00bb til Hardanger Fart\u00f8yvernsenter for at restaureringen skulle kunne gj\u00f8res her. \u00abFaun\u00bb har st\u00e5tt lagret ved HFS inntil h\u00f8sten 2000, og en har n\u00e5 skaffet noe midler til \u00e5 starte istandsetting til samme utseende som fart\u00f8yet hadde som nytt..<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">8<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_9\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft5\">1. Skrog og overbygning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p46 ft21\">1.1 Kj\u00f8l<\/p>\n<p class=\"p47 ft3\">Kj\u00f8len er satt sammen av tre stykker, samt fyllstykker og hylsestokk. Bredden er ca 10,5 &#8211; 11 cm ved utvendig spunning. Opp\u00e5 kj\u00f8len er det spikret en plank p\u00e5 flasken (kj\u00f8lfli eller innerkj\u00f8l) som utgj\u00f8r kj\u00f8lplankens anlegg Denne er spikret til kj\u00f8len med seks eller syv toms skipsspiker. Fra akterstevn til hylsestokk er bredden 12,5 cm, h\u00f8yde 12,5 &#8211; 13 cm. Fra forkant av hylsestokken til 12,0 meter fra AP er bredden 17,0 cm, og deretter smalner den til 12,0 cm ved forstevn, h\u00f8yden er 5,0 cm. Hylsestokkens bredde er 16,2 cm, h\u00f8yden 20,0cm. Kj\u00f8llaskene er 80 cm lange. Kj\u00f8lboltene har i de lengste bunnstokkene hatt en diameter p\u00e5 16 mm, og de \u00f8vrige 12 mm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">1.2 Bunnstokker<\/p>\n<p class=\"p49 ft20\">Bunnstokkene er plassert i akterkant av spantene. De er av varierende lengde og h\u00f8yde. Bredden er 50 mm. Hver tredje (de lange) er festet med kj\u00f8lboltene. De \u00f8vrige er delvis festet med bolter, og delvis festet med skipsspiker ned i kj\u00f8len.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p50 ft21\">1.3 Spant<\/p>\n<p class=\"p51 ft20\">Spantene best\u00e5r av 50 x 50 mm dampb\u00f8yde ribber (sv\u00f8p). Materialet er hovedsakelig eik, men det finnes ogs\u00e5 spant i ask og alm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p42 ft3\">Senteravstand: 25 &#8211; 30 cm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft3\">Spantene er spikret til bunnstokkene med 5&laquo; skipsspiker.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">1.4 Stevner<\/p>\n<p class=\"p52 ft20\">Akterstevnen best\u00e5r av et stykke som er rett innvendig og sk\u00e5ret i form utvendig. Konstruksjonen er samlet med et slemholt og et dekkskne.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p53 ft20\">Forstevnen best\u00e5r av kri, slemholt og stevnstykke. Stevnstykket er lappet p\u00e5 og best\u00e5r n\u00e5 av tre stykker, men har opprinnelig v\u00e6rt et helt stykke. Stevnene er n\u00e5 samlet med rustfrie bolter med mutter, men har opprinnelig vart boltet med klinkebolter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p42 ft3\">Boltenes diameter har v\u00e6rt dels 12 og dels 16 mm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">1.5 Bjelkeveier<\/p>\n<p class=\"p54 ft20\">Denne har dimensjonen 90 x 100 &#8211; 120 mm og er formet etter skroget. Hvert spant er spikret til bjelkeveieren med to 4&laquo; skipsspiker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">9<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_10\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft21\">1.6 Livholter<\/p>\n<p class=\"p55 ft3\">Det \u00f8vre livholtet akterut har dimensjon 50 x 80 mm, det andre har dim. 50 x 120 og begge disse g\u00e5r helt frem til forstevnen. Det andre livholtet er splittet i ca tre meters lengde akter. Dette for at man skulle kunne klare \u00e5 b\u00f8ye det p\u00e5 plass. Ved akterkant av salongen begynner det nedre livholtet, dim. 50 x 80 mm, og dette avsluttes vel to meter aktenfor forstevn. Det er og et livholt som begynner ved akterkant maskinrom og g\u00e5r helt frem til forstevn, dette ligger mellom det \u00f8vre og det nest \u00f8vre, dim. 50 x 80 mm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">1.7 Hud<\/p>\n<p class=\"p56 ft3\">Huden er 30 mm tykk. Bredden varierer fra 8,0 til 18,0 cm. Huden har opprinnelig ikke v\u00e6rt drevet, men undervanns er det senere benyttet bomullsdrev. Huden er undervanns klinket med 4 og 5 mm firkantet kobbers\u00f8m, overvanns spikret med 3 \u00bd &laquo; skipsspiker som er neiet p\u00e5 spantet. S\u00f8mmen og spikrene er proppet med 12 mm propper p\u00e5 utsiden. En god del av huden m\u00e5 skiftes, dels p\u00e5 grunn av d\u00e5rlig st\u00f8tfordeling, dels p\u00e5 grunn av at bordene har sprukket og \u201ddelaminert\u201d. Det har og v\u00e6rt benyttet endel bord med margen ut, og hos disse er kjernen spaltet. Da b\u00e5ten var i BKK\u2019s eie var den engang utsatt for sprengkulde da den stod p\u00e5 slipp. Den har ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6rt utsatt for endel diesels\u00f8l, og disse faktorene kan sammen ha v\u00e6rt medvirkende til den nevnte delamineringen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">I 1987 ble det skiftet endel bord, og hele skroget ble satt inn med r\u00e5 linolje.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">1.8 Dekksbjelker<\/p>\n<p class=\"p57 ft20\">Bjelker i akterdekk, furu, har bredde 5,0 cm, h\u00f8yde 7,0 cm. Bjelkene er svalet ned i bjelkeveier. Bjelkebukt: 2,0 cm pr meter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p58 ft3\">Spikerslag for d\u00f8rk i cockpit og salong, furu, h x b = 5,0 x 5,0 cm, ingen bjelkebukt. Bjelker i hyttetak, mahogny, bredde 4,5 cm, h\u00f8yde 6,0 cm. Bjelkene er svalet ned i hyttesidene. Bukt: Totalt 16,8 cm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p59 ft3\">Bjelker i styrecockpitd\u00f8rk, furu, bredde 5,5 cm og h\u00f8yde 8,0 cm. Ingen bukt. Bjelkene hviler p\u00e5 en sekund\u00e6r bjelkeveier og har ingen annen forbindelse med skrogsidene (?). Bjelker i fordekk er i furu; bredde 5,0, h\u00f8yde 8,2 cm. Bjelkene er svalet ned i bjelkeveieren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">Bukt: 2,0 cm pr meter<\/p>\n<p class=\"p60 ft20\">I forkant av skylightet er det p\u00e5 et av bildene et dekkskne. Dette er det eneste dekkskneet som er sikkert registrert hittil. Det er en skisse av fordekket som viser et kne (Eide), men det er uklart om dette er det samme kneet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p61 ft21\">1.9 Dekk<\/p>\n<p class=\"p62 ft3\">Skandekket skal if\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb ha v\u00e6rt av teak. Bredde ca 17,0 cm. Tykkelse ca 2,5 cm. Midtfisken tilsvarende. Dekket av furu, bredde 4,5 cm, tykkelse 2,3 cm. I fordekket f\u00f8lger dekksbordene skandekket. I akterdekket f\u00f8lger dekksbordene midtfisken. Dekksplankene er utstyrt med drevstopper, det er drevet med bomullstr\u00e5d og beket. Drevstopperen er et spor frest inn midt i siden. Dekkene har originalt v\u00e6rt lakkert, men i den siste perioden var skandekket lakkert og dekksplanken gr\u00f8nnmalt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">10<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_11\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft21\">1.10 Hyttetak<\/p>\n<p class=\"p63 ft3\">Hyttetaket best\u00e5r av pl\u00f8yde bord, 7\/8 x 4 \u00bc &laquo;, 2,2 x 10,8 cm. Fasede kanter og et spor langs midten, slik at det ser ut som to-toms bord fra undersiden. Under ombyggingen i 1947 ble det lagt ny seilduk, og det ble gjort noen reparasjoner p\u00e5 hyttetaket. Det ble skiftet noen bord langs sidene, og skyveluka over d\u00f8ra til aktercockpiten ble tettet. Hele taket ble smurt med linolje f\u00f8r duken ble lagt. Under en senere reparasjon langs kantene ble det brukt en alkydoljemaling til \u00e5 feste ny duk til underlaget. Dette kan ha blitt gjort tidlig p\u00e5 60-tallet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p64 ft3\">Hele overbygningen ble plastbelagt v\u00e5ren 1967, og det kan se ut som om dette er gjort i to omganger. Den f\u00f8rste gangen er kun de store flatene plastet, og i neste omgang er det lagt plast over fundament for lettb\u00e5t, opp p\u00e5 ventiler osv. Dette kunne en se da det var malt f\u00f8r den andre omgangen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p65 ft21\">1.11 D\u00f8rk<\/p>\n<p class=\"p66 ft3\">Styrecockpitd\u00f8rken best\u00e5r av vanlige gulvbord med not og fj\u00e6r, bredde 9,5 cm, tykkelse 2,3 cm. De \u00f8vrige d\u00f8rkene finnes ikke lenger, men en kan anta at de hadde samme dimensjon. Bjelkene for d\u00f8rkene i salong og aktercockpit bestod av enten 2&laquo;x 2&laquo; eller 1 \u00bd&laquo; x 2&laquo; rekker med en eller to st\u00f8tter under midten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p65 ft21\">1.12 Hyttesider<\/p>\n<p class=\"p67 ft3\">Hyttesidene er av mahogni, tykkelse 28 mm. Helt bord nede, bredde ca 25,0 cm. Bord oppe, bredde ca 15,0 cm, st\u00e5ende stykker tappet ned i og opp i de andre. Disse hadde bredde akter p\u00e5 ca 34,0 cm og fremover ca 18,0-20,0 cm. Det var doble vinduslister, <span class=\"ft8\">(skisse som skal lages), <\/span>vinduene hadde vanlig vindusglass, 6 \u2013 8 mm tykt (Eide).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">1.13 Festemidler<\/p>\n<p class=\"p68 ft3\">Huden er festet til spantene med klinket kobbers\u00f8m under vannlinjen og med 3 \u00bd toms skipsspiker over. Spikrene er neide p\u00e5 spantet. Kobbers\u00f8mmen hadde en opprinnelig dimensjon p\u00e5 4 mm, men endel av disse ble skiftet hos Hansen &amp; Arntzen til 5 mm. Livholtet er festet med 6 toms bygningsspiker som er klinket innvendig, skivediameter er 23 mm. Spikrene g\u00e5r igjennom huden. Spantene er festet til bjelkeveieren med to 4&laquo; skipsspiker. Innerkj\u00f8len er festet med 6 eller 7 toms skipsspiker ned i kj\u00f8len. De originale kj\u00f8l,- stevn,- og slemholtsboltene hadde en diameter p\u00e5 12 og 16 mm, og har sannsynligvis v\u00e6rt av galvanisert jern, og klinket. Ved H&amp;A ble de fleste av disse skiftet ut med rustfrie bolter med mutter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">1.14 Impregnering og overflatebehandling<\/p>\n<p class=\"p63 ft29\">Det nedenst\u00e5ende er etter \u00abSpesification &amp; Kontrakt\u00bb fra 1915, og det ser ut til at denne er fulgt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">11<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_12\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p69 ft20\">Alt skjult treverk innvendig gis et str\u00f8k blym\u00f8nje og et str\u00f8k linoljemaling, lys gr\u00e5. <span class=\"ft30\">(Det viser seg at det er brukt blym\u00f8nje under vannlinja og maling over.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p70 ft3\">All synlig furu eller gran grunnes, sparkles og gis tre str\u00f8k linoljemaling. Alle harde tresorter beises og gis tre str\u00f8k lakk (marine fernis).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">M\u00f8bler i salongen poleres.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">Hyttetaket utvendig gis minst fire str\u00f8k linoljemaling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p71 ft3\">Fordekket, akterdekket, masten, flaggstenger, etc lakkes tre ganger. Galvaniserte jernbeslag strykes med aluminiumbronze, (bronsefarge). Huden utvendig overvanns gis farge etter kj\u00f8pers \u00f8nske, (hvit?). Undervanns males med oljemaling f\u00f8r bunnstoffing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">En hullist i passende avstand fra skandekk forgylles, (bladgull?).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p42 ft3\">Det er ingen opprinnelig beskrivelse av impregnering med olje eller annet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p72 ft20\">I 1987 ble b\u00e5ten satt grundig inn med olje i forbindelse med reparasjonen etter at den sank ved brygga i Porsgrunn. Det er ikke fastsl\u00e5tt hva slags olje som da ble brukt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">12<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_13\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft5\">2. Tekniske installasjoner<\/p>\n<p class=\"p46 ft21\">2.1 Motorer<\/p>\n<p class=\"p73 ft20\">1916 \u2013 I f\u00f8lge S&amp;K: 4-syl. 50 hk for parafin og bensin, boring 7 \u00bd&laquo;, slaglengde 10&laquo;, volum 7,24 l x 4 = 28,96 liter. Magnettenning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p74 ft20\">I f\u00f8lge KNS-\u00e5rbok fra 1917 var \u00abFaun\u00bb utstyrt med en 60 hk Parson. Det er ingen ting som tyder p\u00e5 at denne maskinen ble skiftet f\u00f8r 1947.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p75 ft20\">1947 &#8211; Amerikansk Red Wing, 6-syl, 100\/140 hk, spark-diesel (Hesselmannsystem), selvstarter, lysdynamo, ferskvannskj\u00f8lt med r\u00f8rkj\u00f8ler under b\u00e5ten. Denne motoren satt i b\u00e5ten da BKK kj\u00f8pte den i 1955, jmf. Veritas-rapport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p76 ft20\">Etter 1955 &#8211; Meadows 6-sylinder, 630-serien. Maskinen var bygget i 1951, og satt da i en bulldoser (?). Den ble montert i \u00abFaun\u00bb en gang p\u00e5 60-tallet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p77 ft20\">I en rapport av 17.10.76 beskrives Meadows-motoren som en 4-sylinder, men dette m\u00e5 v\u00e6re en feil, siden vi ikke har grunn til \u00e5 tro at det ikke v\u00e6rt andre motorer i b\u00e5ten enn de tre som er beskrevet over.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p78 ft3\">Eksosen var f\u00f8rt langs babord side under benkene akterover til rommet under akterdekket. Her var den trolig f\u00f8rt opp i en svanehals og deretter ut i vannlinjen p\u00e5 styrbord side, ca \u00bd meter foran akterstevnen. Eksosen var vannkj\u00f8lt. Motoren hadde kj\u00f8ler\u00f8r under skroget, og disse gikk langs kj\u00f8len p\u00e5 hver side. Lengden var 4,7 meter, og r\u00f8rene gikk ut under motoren og kom inn igjen i fremkant av hylsestokken.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">2.2 Tanker<\/p>\n<p class=\"p28 ft3\">Hovedtanker i borde ved styrecockpit, 2 stk \u00e0 330 liter, kobber, muligens originale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p79 ft3\">Det var i tillegg opprinnelig en bensintank p\u00e5 ca 100 liter, samt en vanntank p\u00e5 200 liter. Disse eksisterer ikke lenger, men det var to tanker i rustfritt st\u00e5l i hver side av styrehuset. Disse er hver p\u00e5 ca 115 liter. Det er en mulighet at de originale tankene var plassert p\u00e5 samme sted, de var sannsynligvis smalere. I \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb st\u00e5r det at tankene er plassert under styrecockpiten. Det var f\u00f8r rivingen to tanker til, kanskje til sm\u00f8reolje, ved maskinrom. Den ene p\u00e5 ca 5 liter satt oppe under dekk, til styrbord ved skottet til styrecockpit, og den andre satt midtskips oppe p\u00e5 fordekket under frontkappa. Denne er i kobber, og rommer 29,6 liter. I samlingen er det en tank til som er kvartsirkelformet og rommer 14,6 liter. Dette ser ut til at det har v\u00e6rt en vanntank, men det er uklart hvor den var plassert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">2.3 Styring<\/p>\n<p class=\"p80 ft3\">Styringen bestod av ratt med kjettingkabelar. Kjettingen gikk over i en stang med klinket \u00f8ye i hver ende, og en ny kjetting under akterdekket frem til rorkvadranten. I tillegg var det en rorkult, som opprinnelig var beskrevet som rorpinne av eik med messingbeslag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p81 ft3\">Roret er av en jernplate, festet nede til en flyndre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">13<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_14\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft5\">3. Sanit\u00e6re installasjoner<\/p>\n<p class=\"p46 ft21\">3.5 Pentry<\/p>\n<p class=\"p62 ft20\">Pentryet hadde en vaskekum med avl\u00f8p overbord, og en tappekran med r\u00f8rledning fra ferskvannstanken. Benken i pentryet hadde en kant rundt med emaljerte st\u00e5lplater, det er ikke fastsl\u00e5tt hva selve benken bestod av.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p50 ft21\">3.6 Toalettrom<\/p>\n<p class=\"p82 ft3\">Toalettet hadde et pumpeklosett, med mahognysete, en h\u00e5ndvask med vann fra ferskvannstanken og en liten vingepumpe (?), samt en toalettpapirholder og noen kroker i forniklet messing. Over vasken, p\u00e5 akterskottet var det et faset speil. P\u00e5 skottet over klosettet var sikringene til el-anlegget plassert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">3.7 Mannskapslugar<\/p>\n<p class=\"p83 ft20\">Forut i mannskapslugaren er det en skroggjennomf\u00f8ring tilsvarende den som er under pentryet og i toalettet. Dette viser at h\u00e5ndvasken har v\u00e6rt p\u00e5 babord side, i akterkant av lugaren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p84 ft21\">3.8 Generelt<\/p>\n<p class=\"p62 ft20\">Av det opprinnelige r\u00f8ropplegget og armaturen er det ikke noe tilbake, og dette m\u00e5 rekonstrueres i sin helhet. Flensene til avl\u00f8pet overbord er fortsatt intakt, og disse er kun skrudd fast utvendig i huden. Dette er en l\u00f8sning som kanskje ikke b\u00f8r rekonstrueres.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">14<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_15\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft5\">4. Dekksutrustning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p46 ft21\">4.1 Fordekket<\/p>\n<p class=\"p47 ft3\">Forut p\u00e5 et kne mellom svineryggene er det plassert en flaggstang til gj\u00f8sen. Deretter kommer det en ankerdavit i jern. Denne har en knekk, (vinkel 125 grader), like over dekk. Det er usikkert om denne daviten er den originale, da den ikke er h\u00f8y nok til \u00e5 l\u00f8fte ankeret klar av dekket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p85 ft3\">Aktafor daviten er det en luke til kabelgattet, hvor kjetting og tauverk ble oppbevart. Videre st\u00e5r det et ankerspill. Under spillet er det en kjettingpipe, og kjettingkassa g\u00e5r p\u00e5 skr\u00e5 ned til kabelgattet. Det skal v\u00e6re to krabber til ankerene, et 20 kg`s og et 40 kg`s stokkl\u00f8st anker. Det eksisterer en krabbe, eller tre trestykker som er formet etter ankerflukene, samt et foto som viser to \u00f8yebolter til \u00e5 bendsle fast ankeret med. Ut over dette skal det v\u00e6re to pullerter, to halegatt, messingrekke, to 5&laquo; luftelyrer og et skylight, to lanternebrett i mahogni, nedleggbar mast med galvaniserte beslag, vant og stag. Skylightet er i f\u00f8lge Eide originalt, men er slipt ned og beslagene er montert feil.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft3\">Galvanisert halvrundtjern langs skandekket p\u00e5 fordekket er trolig ikke originalt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">4.2 Styrecockpit<\/p>\n<p class=\"p86 ft3\">I styrcockpiten skal det v\u00e6re et kompass og et ratt av teak. Det skal v\u00e6re et trinn opp til fordekket, og et sted skal det v\u00e6re en kikkertkasse. Det skal og v\u00e6re plass til to fastmonterte klappstoler. Frontglasset skal if\u00f8lge Eides beskrivelse v\u00e6re ca en halv meter h\u00f8yt. Dette virker litt for lavt, for toppen p\u00e5 rammen vil da v\u00e6re kun 1,4 meter over d\u00f8rken i cockpiten. Moldestadb\u00e5t nr 42 er p\u00e5 37 fot, og den har et frontglass p\u00e5 ca 80 cm. Dette ser ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re en riktigere st\u00f8rrelse ogs\u00e5 for \u00abFaun\u00bb. Over cockpiten skal det v\u00e6re et seildukstak montert p\u00e5 galvaniserte septere og b\u00f8yler med treribber over. Det er ikke funnet spor etter fester for disse septerene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">4.3 Hyttetak<\/p>\n<p class=\"p87 ft20\">Hyttetaket var i f\u00f8lge S&amp;K opprinnelig kledd med seilduk og utstyrt med h\u00e5ndrekker i teak, krybbe for masten, et navnebrett i mahogny, krybbe for lettb\u00e5t og en krybbe for utenbordsleider.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p88 ft3\">Det skal v\u00e6re to stykker daviter for lettb\u00e5ten p\u00e5 styrbord side. Det eksisterer en davit, og denne er 230 cm h\u00f8y med en 85 cm lang arm. Om dette er den opprinnelige daviten, s\u00e5 indikerer dette at Spesifikationens beskrivelse med jollen til styrbord er korrekt. Davitene var festet i en fot i skandekket og et klammer i hyttesiden, eventuelt en hylse som har dekket hele den nedre delen av daviten. Dette siste er mest sannsynlig, da de nedre 80 cm av daviten er uten maling. Hvert klammer var festet med tre b\u00e5nd av jern og skrudd fast til taket med 10 -12 skruer. Beslagene var festet over seilduken, og det er gul maling i skruehullene, noe som indikerer at taket var gulmalt. Skisse og foto.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p89 ft20\">Det er skruehull i hyttetaket som indikerer at krybben til lettb\u00e5ten har v\u00e6rt plassert ute til styrbord. Dette er den beste plasseringen om en skal unng\u00e5 konflikt med aktre skyveluke.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">15<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_16\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p90 ft20\">De ytre klampene til b\u00e5tkrybben skal kunne felles ned. Dette g\u00e5r frem da davitene ikke er h\u00f8ye nok til \u00e5 l\u00f8fte b\u00e5ten over.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p76 ft20\">Det var 6 stk lufteventiler. De to fremre ute i borde er sannsynligvis montert i forbindelse med byggingen av styrehuset i 1947.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p91 ft20\">Det skal ligge to ventiler tilsvarende de fire aktre i samlingen et sted, og disse skal monteres over hhv kabyss og toalettrom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p92 ft20\">Skyvelukene var sannsynligvis av mahogni. Det er ikke fastsl\u00e5tt om de var trukket med seilduk eller ikke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p93 ft3\">Navneskiltene i mahogni skulle if\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb st\u00e5 p\u00e5 hyttetaket. Det er ingen skruehull eller lignende som viser hvor de eventuelt kan ha st\u00e5tt, men i omr\u00e5det over kabyss\/toalett er det rester etter styrehuset fra -47, og disse kan skjule slike spor. Plassen over feltet mellom fremre salongvindu og kabyss\/toalett vindu kan virke som en logisk plassering n\u00e5r en ser p\u00e5 proporsjonene i b\u00e5ten. Eide mente at navneskiltet kunne ha v\u00e6rt plassert i det aktre speilfeltet til styrecockpiten, og dette er og en mulighet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p94 ft20\">Krybben til masten stod sannsynligvis l\u00f8st p\u00e5 hyttetaket, og ble stuet vekk n\u00e5r den ikke var i bruk. Det er ikke funnet spor som viser at den var fast montert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p95 ft20\">I forkant og akterkant av hyttetaket monteres en mahognilist for \u00e5 hindre takdrypp ned i styrerom og cockpit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p37 ft21\">4.4 Akterdekk<\/p>\n<p class=\"p96 ft3\">P\u00e5 akterdekket var det to pullerter, to halegatt og en flaggstangholder, alt i messing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">4.5 Jolle<\/p>\n<p class=\"p97 ft3\">Jollen er 11 \u00bd fot lang, utstyrt med aske\u00e5rer, messinggafler, flaggstangholder og trallverk i forplikten. If\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb skal navnet v\u00e6re sk\u00e5ret inn i jollens akterspeil. Dette er ikke gjort p\u00e5 den jollen som fulgte b\u00e5ten til HFS, s\u00e5 det er mulig at denne jollen er kommet til senere. Jollen er bygget Christiania Slip &amp; Baatbyggeri. Det er ukjent n\u00e5r jollen er bygd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">4.6 Fort\u00f8yningsutrustning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p68 ft3\">Det er i samlingen et stokkl\u00f8st anker p\u00e5 ca 50 kg. Det skal i tillegg v\u00e6re et p\u00e5 20 kg. Begge galvaniserte. Det minste skal forsynes med 3 favner (5,5 meter) kjetting, sjakkel og 20 favner (36,5 meter) manillatau. Det st\u00f8rste skal utrustes med 30 favner (55,0 meter) 3\/8&laquo; galvanisert kjetting. Dessuten leveres 30 favner 2 \u00bd&laquo; manillatau og 30 favner 2&laquo; grastau.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">16<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_17\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft21\">4.7 Rigg<\/p>\n<p class=\"p98 ft3\">Det eksisterer en mast med beslag til riggen, og beslagene ser ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re originale. Mastens og bommens lengde m\u00e5 rekonstrueres etter det som ser ut til \u00e5 ha v\u00e6rt vanlig praksis i 1916. Det ser da ut til at mastens lengde tilsvarte omtrent b\u00e5tens halve lengde i vannlinjen. Mastens plassering ser ut til \u00e5 ha v\u00e6rt i fremkant av frontkappa. Dette kan antas da det her er noe tettere mellom dekksbjelkene enn ellers, slik det er ved ankerspillet. Frontkappa er for spinkelt bygget til \u00e5 b\u00e6re en mast, og dessuten er sm\u00f8reoljetanken plassert under her. I f\u00f8lge den opprinnelige \u201dSpesification &amp; Kontrakt\u201dskulle b\u00e5ten utstyres med fokk og trehuk. Dette siste er det vi idag kaller et bermudastorseil. Samlet seglareal er rekonstruert til 22 kvadratmeter. St\u00e5ende rigg skulle for\u00f8vrig v\u00e6re av galvanisert wire. L\u00f8pende rigg i manilla. Innredning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p46 ft21\">5.1 Kabelgatt<\/p>\n<p class=\"p103 ft20\">Eksisterende kabelgatt forut kan v\u00e6re som opprinnelig, med d\u00f8rk ved andre livholt. Det var en d\u00f8r fra mannskapslugar inn til rommet under kjettingkassen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p37 ft21\">5.2 Mannskapslugar<\/p>\n<p class=\"p104 ft3\">Denne inneholdt en benk og et skap. Opprinnelig skulle det i tillegg v\u00e6re to oppslagsk\u00f8yer, et bord, en servant og et speil i ramme. Skapet er plassert til styrbord, k\u00f8ya m\u00e5 da ha v\u00e6rt festet slik at den felles ned og fungerer som ryggst\u00f8e for benken under, se spor p\u00e5 foto. K\u00f8ya til babord m\u00e5tte kunne felles opp, da servanten og bordet kom under. Dette er det som er rekonstruert. Servanten var trolig av fajanse eller av emaljert st\u00f8pejern. Dette var de mest vanlige materialene i f\u00f8lge kataloger. D\u00f8ren inn til motorrommet var hengslet til babord og slo framover, <span class=\"ft8\">foto<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.3 Motorrommet<\/p>\n<p class=\"p97 ft3\">Her var det en benk p\u00e5 hver side, med en vingepumpe fremst til styrbord, kanskje den opprinnelige. Til babord var det to kvartsirkelformede hyller, muligens \u00abS&amp;K\u00bbs lanternehyller, (<span class=\"ft8\">foto<\/span>). Resten av innredningen m\u00e5 rekonstrueres, og da er det sannsynlig at arbeidsbenken med verkt\u00f8yskap sto til styrbord. Den f\u00f8rste motoren sto opprinnelig ca 1,2 meter foran Meadowsen som satt i p\u00e5 slutten. Dette skulle antyde at den f\u00f8rste motoren (Parson 60 hk) ikke var s\u00e6rlig tung. Vektsenteret til denne (ca <span class=\"ft8\">800-1000<\/span> kg) befant seg ca 2,5 meter foran oppdriftsenteret, noe som indikerer et behov for ballast akterut. Akterut i motorrommet var tankene plassert. P\u00e5 hver side var det en kobber drivstofftank p\u00e5 ca 330 liter. P\u00e5 fordekket, under frontkappa var det en kobbertank p\u00e5 29,4 liter, og dette var sannsynligvis den opprinnelige sm\u00f8reoljetanken. I motorrommet, oppe under dekk til styrbord var det en 5 liters sm\u00f8reoljetank, muligens en senere installasjon. Det er i \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb nevnt en bensintank p\u00e5 100 liter og en vanntank p\u00e5 200 liter, og at disse skulle v\u00e6re plassert under cockpitd\u00f8rken. Den n\u00f8yaktig dimensjon og plassering til disse har en ikke funnet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.4 Styrecockpiten<\/p>\n<p class=\"p68 ft3\">D\u00f8rken var plassert p\u00e5 en egen ramme innenfor bjelkeveieren. Ideen her m\u00e5 opprinnelig ha v\u00e6rt at en skulle kunne fjerne hele dekket om en skulle skifte motor. Dette har neppe fungert i praksis, da karmene rundt cockpiten er blitt bygget over dekket. Det har ikke v\u00e6rt noen forbindelse mellom bjelkeveieren og dekksbjelkene. Dette m\u00e5 ha gjort skrogets midtseksjon temmelig myk. Det har nok ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6rt vanskelig \u00e5 holde dekket her tett.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p105 ft3\">Sidene til cockpiten var opprinnelig med speiler utvendig, tilsvarende vinduene i salongen, og smale, fasede mahognibord innvendig. Speilene, eller restene av dem, vises p\u00e5 bilder, og det er en liten rest i rivningsmaterialene. Det kan muligens ha v\u00e6rt noen sm\u00e5rom innvendig her. Det er ikke dokumentert noen opprinnelig d\u00f8r inn til cockpiten, s\u00e5<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">18<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_19\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p106 ft20\">det er sannsynlig at det har v\u00e6rt et trinn fra skandekket fremme ved fordekket (spor i lakk p\u00e5 babord side) som er blitt brukt til \u00e5 klatre inn med. Karmh\u00f8yden var p\u00e5 ca 80 cm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p107 ft20\">Innvendig har det v\u00e6rt et messingbesl\u00e5tt trinn p\u00e5 siden for oppgang til fordekket. Siden kravet i kontrakten var at det skulle v\u00e6re mulig \u00e5 g\u00e5 opp p\u00e5 fordekket fra styrecockpiten, er det sannsynlig at trinnet er plassert i forkant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p108 ft3\">If\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb var det montert en kikkertkasse i styrecockpiten, uvisst hvor. Rommet til styrbord under frontkappa hadde antagelig plass til kart, i tillegg til sm\u00f8reoljetanken, kabularet til rattet og nedgangen til motorrom. Rattet har opprinnelig st\u00e5tt midtskips, men er senere flyttet, antagelig i 1947. Ved nedgangen til babord er det flere sm\u00e5rom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p48 ft21\">5.5 Kabysen<\/p>\n<p class=\"p103 ft3\">Denne var f\u00f8r riving nesten original. Bare benkeplaten, n\u00e5 rupanel og sponplate med rustfri st\u00e5lplate over, og utslagsvasken var skiftet. Opprinnelig var det muligens en fajanse- eller en emaljert st\u00f8pejernsvask. Hva platen bestod av er ikke klart. Platene bak arbeidsbenken, de emaljerede st\u00e5lplatene, var og skiftet ut med rustfri st\u00e5lplate. To skuffer og tre skapd\u00f8rer under benkeplaten, hyller og kroker p\u00e5 skott over benken var som originalt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.6 Toalettrom<\/p>\n<p class=\"p109 ft3\">Mye originalt utstyr eksisterer, det mangler kun et fasettert speil, karafellhylle, to andre hyller samt vingepumpen til ferskvannet. Skottene var bygget opp av 1&laquo;x 4&laquo; rupanel og kledd med 2\u00bd toms faspanel nede og ramtr\u00e6r og speil oppe. Alt i mahogni. Panelen var 12 mm tykk og ramtr\u00e6rne 14 mm. Fyllingene var ca 7 mm tykke. Det var en enkel list over overgangen mellom faspanel og ramtre. D\u00f8rken bestod if\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb av inlaid linoleum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.7 Salong<\/p>\n<p class=\"p110 ft3\">Mesteparten av konstruksjonen m\u00e5 bygges nytt. Mye av innredningen eksisterer og er fullt brukbar. Mellom kabyssen og salongen er det en d\u00f8r\u00e5pning. Denne skulle opprinnelig dekkes med en portier eller ha en d\u00f8r etter kj\u00f8pers \u00f8nske. I nyere tid er det satt inn en d\u00f8r, som ikke er som de andre ombord. Dette antyder at d\u00f8ren enten er skiftet, eller at det ikke har v\u00e6rt d\u00f8r fra starten av.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p111 ft3\">Salongen innredes som p\u00e5 tegningen, med sofabenker ute i borde. Disse skal ha skuffer under og plass i ryggen til k\u00f8yekl\u00e6r. Fremme til styrbord skal det v\u00e6re en buff\u00e9 med speil, skap og glasshylle over. Ute i borde fremme p\u00e5 hver side skal det v\u00e6re et lite skap p\u00e5 hver side. Det ene her er stj\u00e5let. P\u00e5 fremsiden av midtveggene skal det v\u00e6re en nettinghylle, og p\u00e5 aktersiden en glasshylle. Disse er fortsatt i god stand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p105 ft3\">I den fremre salongdelen skal det v\u00e6re et bridgebord, og i den aktre et klaffebord. Det er i samlingen noen klaffestoler, og disse passer ved disse bordene. I akterskottet er det to skaper som vender inn i salongen, et skap nede som vender mot utgangen akter og et stort skap som vender ut mot cockpiten. Diverse kleskroker i forniklet messing ble montert \u201dhvor praktikabelt\u201d. Det skal v\u00e6re et ur og et aneroidbarometer, men hvor dette er<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"id_2\">\n<p class=\"p0 ft3\">19<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_20\">\n<div id=\"id_1\">\n<p class=\"p112 ft3\">plassert er uvisst. I fremkant av det ene midtskottet er det to runde merker, samt noen skruemerker. Uret og barometeret kan muligens ha v\u00e6rt plassert her. P\u00e5 akterskottet mot det store skapet var det antagligvis et speil. Det er spiker under listene som tilsvarer det en finner ved montering av vinduer. P\u00e5 d\u00f8rken var det inlaid linoleum, og over dette var det et plysj gulvteppe, festet med messingknapper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft3\">Takh\u00f8yde midtskips minimum 6`3&laquo; (1,905 meter). Alt if\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p65 ft21\">5.8 Cockpiten<\/p>\n<p class=\"p113 ft3\">D\u00f8rken her skal ligge ca 20 cm over salongd\u00f8rken. Dette vises p\u00e5 svarthvitt bilde og stemmer bra med \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb, samt konstruksjonen for\u00f8vrig. I \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb st\u00e5r det at det skulle v\u00e6re plass til en isboks med adgang fra salong samt flaskerom med luker i cockpitd\u00f8rken, og denne beskrivelsen er det plass til \u00e5 f\u00f8lge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.9 Rommet under akterdekket<\/p>\n<p class=\"p18 ft20\">Brukes til oppbevaring, av proviant i f\u00f8lge \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb, til tauverk i f\u00f8lge Eide. Rommet var opprinnelig kledd med sink.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p50 ft21\">5.10 Ventilasjon<\/p>\n<p class=\"p51 ft3\">Mannskapslugar og motorrom ventileres med skylight, to dreibare messing luftelyrer og to avtrekks\u00e5pninger i akterskottet. Skylight av teak med messinggitter over glasset. Kabyss og toalettrom f\u00e5r ventiler i taket, tilsvarende de i salongen. Salongen og kabyssen f\u00e5r i tillegg en lukkbar ventil i d\u00f8ren forut og akter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p27 ft21\">5.11 Belysning<\/p>\n<p class=\"p82 ft3\">I \u00abS&amp;K\u00bb er det nevnt f\u00f8lgende elektrisk belysning. I salongen var det fire mignonlamper, i toalettrom en, i kabyss en, i motorrom to og i mannskapslugaren en. I tillegg skal det v\u00e6re en handlampe. Denne kan kobles til stikkontakt i motorrom til styrbord for nedgangen, og til stikkontakt i salongen. Handlampen eksisterer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p114 ft20\">Det er i tillegg beskrevet tre forniklede lysholdere i salong, en i kabyss, en i toalettrom og en i mannskapslugar.
